Of Monster and Men has been declared the next Arcade Fire by Rolling Stone magazine, and as someone who has reviewed their debut album, My Head Is An Animal, for my day job, I can confirm that comparison. They are basically what happened if you took Arcade Fire’s more folksy younger brother and wrapped him in a rustic and whimsical sheen. They’ve got a single, “Little Talks,” which is taking the indie music world by storm, and you  pretty much have my guarantee that it’s going to be the song that dethrones “We Are Young” by fun. as the indie song that breaks into the mainstream. It’s reminiscent of so many of the best tracks off of Arcade Fire’s Funeral but it also happens to try to be even more fun than those tracks. It’s even got some of the dueling male and female vocals that helped make “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros such a breakthough track. Check it out below.
