Here’s another set at Bonnaroo that I didn’t get to see all of because I made a priority of getting a good spot for another act (Feist who will be coming up two days from now in this Bonnaroo series). However, I did catch about three songs of neo-soul act Fitz and the Tantrums which took the indie world by storm back in 2010. My company shot Fitz and the Tantrums  a while back, but I didn’t actually really discover the band until a couple weeks before the Roo when I was trying to hammer down exactly which bands I wanted to see this year (my schedule ultimately fell apart a little bit). This was at the same stage as Laura Marling so once again, I was on the hill overlooking the tent. I wasn’t actually inside close to the stage (although I could see the band for the most part even if they were tiny looking). It’s an easy choice for me about which Fitz song to choose because I’ve been freaking addicted to it for about a month now. Their whole album is pretty good, but this particular song, “Don’t Gotta Work It Out,” is just an incredibly fun mix of indie rock and neo-soul. Enjoy.
